People, Purpose & Permanence
At Pruden and Smith, jewellery is never just an object. It carries meaning, memory, and time. That belief shapes every decision we make, from how we design, to how we...
At Pruden and Smith, everything we make begins with people, skill, and time. We are truly handmade, crafted from raw precious metal in our village workshop in Sussex, with every detail shaped, refined, and finished here.
This is jewellery made the way it should be made, with care, consistency, and a deep respect for craft.

The workshop is the heart of Pruden and Smith. From forming and soldering, to stone setting and final polish, our makers are responsible for the feel, strength, and character of every piece. Their work is what turns a design into something you can wear every day, for a lifetime.

Our design philosophy is guided by the foundations set by Rebecca Smith, our Creative Director, principles that run through every collection and bespoke commission.
From the first idea to the final proportions, our design team combines hand-led judgement with modern tools. CAD creates precise digital examples before each piece is brought to life in the workshop. Lydia works across design development, keeping everything aligned with the look, feel, and balance that define Pruden and Smith.

This is the team that helps shape who we are, and where we are going. They are the people you’ll be in contact with, welcoming you into the gallery, guiding you through commissions, answering questions, sharing our story, and making sure every piece moves smoothly from enquiry to finished jewellery.
