This bespoke diamond hinged engagement ring is a Cliq retro-fit: the original ring setting was copied exactly, fitted with a new hinged band, and the original diamonds re-set in the finished mount. The style can be made with or without a hinge.
Like all our engagement rings, it is made by hand in our Ditchling workshop in Sussex, where we have crafted fine jewellery since 1988.
The hinge, made in America by Cliq, is the best mechanism we have found for swollen or arthritic knuckles: it solves the problem of needing a large ring size and the ring swinging around the finger. Opened by a stylus the size of a ballpoint pen nib, it is super secure once fastened, and the Cliq hinge is guaranteed for 5 years and includes a Cliq stylus. Ring size is taken below the knuckle with a specially designed hinged sizer, which can be posted if you are unable to visit for a fitting, and we also make matching wedding bands.
