Half Eternity Rings

Half eternity rings feature a line of stones across the face of the ring, with a smooth metal band behind — a popular choice for the comfort and easy fit they give for everyday wear. Handmade in 9ct and 18ct gold and platinum at our Sussex workshop, set with diamonds or coloured gemstones, they make a beautiful anniversary or wedding ring.

Choosing a Half Eternity Ring

A half eternity ring sets diamonds or gemstones across the front (top) half of the band, leaving the underside as smooth metal. That makes it comfortable to wear, easier to resize than a full eternity, and usually more affordable — while still giving plenty of sparkle where it shows.

Prices start at around £1,150 and rise to £4,500 for larger-diamond designs, with most falling between £1,400 and £3,500. Choose from claw, pavé, alternating and our signature Bubbles settings, with diamonds, sapphires, emeralds and aquamarine, in 9ct and 18ct gold and platinum.

Half eternity rings are a popular anniversary gift and a comfortable wedding ring. Because everything is handmade we can match one to an existing ring, set the stones you prefer, or design something bespoke. Gold carries a 10-year guarantee, platinum 20, with free re-polishing for life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a half eternity ring?

A half eternity ring is set with diamonds or gemstones across the front half of the band, with plain metal around the back. It gives sparkle where it's seen while staying comfortable against the finger — and the plain section makes it easier to resize than a full eternity ring.

Is a half or full eternity ring better?

It depends on what matters most to you. A full eternity ring has stones all the way round for maximum sparkle but is harder to resize; a half eternity is more comfortable, usually more affordable and easier to adjust. Both make beautiful anniversary and wedding rings.

Can a half eternity ring be resized?

Yes — because the back of the band is plain metal, a half eternity ring can usually be resized fairly easily. That's one of the main reasons people choose it over a full eternity ring. We'll help you get the size right.

Can you make a bespoke half eternity ring?

Absolutely. We can set the diamonds or gemstones you prefer, match the ring to an existing wedding or engagement ring, or design something bespoke at our Sussex workshop. Gold carries a 10-year guarantee, platinum 20, with free re-polishing for life.
