Designed for swollen or arthritic knuckles, the men's hinged wedding band is a 3mm yellow gold ring built around a Cliq fit hinge, the best mechanism we have found for a knuckle enlarged by injury or arthritis.
The hinge, made in America by Cliq and guaranteed for five years, solves the problem of needing a large ring size and the ring then swinging loose around the finger: it opens with a stylus the size of a ballpoint pen nib and is completely secure once fastened. We finish each band by hand in our Ditchling workshop in Sussex, in 14ct (listed as 9ct) or 18ct yellow gold, and sizing is taken below the knuckle with a specially designed hinged sizer, which we can post out if a visit for a fitting is not possible. Few wedding rings combine this much practicality with so classic a look.
