Hammered Jewellery
Our side-hammered pieces reveal a creative wavy textured finish to the metalwork to make your piece of handmade jewellery truly stand out from the crowd. The organic finish tends to be delicate on thinner bands or chunky with wider bands, making each piece truly unique.
If you would like to add a bit of sparkle to your piece of hammered jewellery, we can modify our designs to include precious and semi-precious gemstones. This looks delicate when they are added in random patterns and is iconic to a number of designs at Pruden and Smith.
Our Hammered Collection is made from hallmarked sterling silver or gold-plated vermeil and we offer a variety of different polishing finishes for metal - including a brushed finish, which is a popular choice for men’s jewellery.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the From The Forge (Hammered) collection?
From The Forge is our hammered jewellery collection, drawing on our silversmithing roots. Each piece is hand-textured in solid silver or gold, so no two are the same, with a distinctive wavy or peened finish across bangles, rings, necklaces and earrings.
How much does hammered jewellery cost?
The collection starts from around £40 for silver pieces and rises with the metal, width and any gemstones. Everything is handmade to order.
Can hammered pieces be set with gemstones or made for men?
Yes. We can add precious and semi-precious gemstones in random patterns, and the brushed and hammered finishes are a popular choice for men's jewellery. Pieces are made in hallmarked sterling silver or gold.
Where is your hammered jewellery made, and is it guaranteed?
Every piece is designed and handmade by our silversmiths in Ditchling, Sussex, and backed by our guarantee, with re-polishing to refresh the finish. You are welcome to visit the workshop, and we ship across the UK.
