Our emerald cut cathedral solitaire engagement ring holds a single emerald-cut diamond in double claws at each corner, lifted by a cathedral setting that arches up from the band to cradle the stone. It lets the emerald cut do what it does best — long, clean lines and stepped facets that draw the eye into the depth of the diamond, with nothing to compete for attention.
The cathedral shoulders are shaped and polished by hand in our Ditchling workshop in Sussex, sweeping up in a smooth curve that supports the stone and gives the ring its elegant profile from the side. It is designed wedfit, so a wedding band sits flush against it with no gap between the two, and the double claws keep the setting open so light passes freely through the diamond. The band is a touch more substantial than a fine solitaire, tapering gently towards the back for a comfortable, balanced fit.
One of the most architectural of our engagement rings, it is pared back, quietly confident and made to be worn every day for a lifetime. Book a free online or in-store appointment to see it, or get in touch to customise the stone and metal.

Ring fit guide
Our bands have a comfort-fitted inner, so they feel slightly looser than a flat band — order your true size.
Tap a row to select that size.
- Measure when your hands are at room temperature — not too warm, not too cold.
- Cold hands measure up to half a size smaller — avoid measuring in winter or after exercise.
- A wider band needs a slightly larger size: at 6mm and above, go up a half size.
Still unsure? We post a free ring sizer the same day. Every ring comes with one free resize, whenever you need it — there is no time limit. The sizer is free with the code FREERINGSIZER — the button below applies it for you.
