Every piece of Pruden and Smith jewellery is handmade to last, and we stand by that promise with our long-term guarantees and lifetime care.
Our guarantees cover all jewellery purchased online or in-store, giving you complete confidence in your piece for many years to come.
We also offer free re-polishes on all Pruden and Smith jewellery, helping to keep your pieces looking their best for life.
Standard Guarantee
All Pruden and Smith jewellery comes with a guarantee based on the metal type. This covers manufacturing faults, not accidental damage or general wear and tear.

Proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or Pruden and Smith record) is required for all guarantee work.
Lifetime Guarantee & Care (Engagement Rings)
Our engagement rings are designed to be worn for life, and cared for just as long.
When you purchase a ring “as seen” (either online or in-store), it is automatically covered by our Unlimited Guarantee and Lifetime Care. This means we will look after your ring for as long as you own it.
- Servicing, polishing, and reshaping
- Resizing at any stage in life
- Setting repairs and claw re-tipping
- Replacing small accent diamonds that loosen or fall out
If your ring is ever damaged beyond repair, for example melted, crushed or broken, we will remake it at cost price, reusing your original gemstones and metal wherever possible.
What’s Not Covered

Natural Wear & Tear
Metals and settings gradually wear over time, especially in high-contact areas. This is normal and not a manufacturing fault. -
Accidental Damage
Crushed settings, deep dents, snapped claws, or melted metal are not covered, but we will always offer to repair or remake at cost price wherever possible. -
Third-Party Work
Repairs or resizing carried out by another jeweller void the guarantee, as this can compromise the structure. -
Loss or Theft
Not covered under any guarantee. We recommend jewellery insurance for full protection.
Repairs & Aftercare
We only carry out repair work on Pruden and Smith jewellery. This ensures that every piece is cared for using our materials, methods, and workshop standards.
If your jewellery ever needs attention, we will assess it carefully and advise whether it falls under the guarantee or if a repair quote is required. Even outside of guarantee, all work is quoted fairly, covering only materials and labour.
We also provide free re-polishes for all Pruden and Smith pieces, so you can keep your jewellery looking as beautiful as the day it was made.
Bespoke & Made-to-Order Jewellery
Bespoke and customised pieces, including “Recycle Your Old Jewellery” designs, are non-returnable, as they are made uniquely for you. However, we will continue to make adjustments until you are completely satisfied.
These items are covered by our Standard Guarantee, based on the metal type. If a piece ever needs repair beyond the guarantee, we will always quote fairly, covering only materials and labour.
